Job summary

UPMC MRI/CT Tech Assistant is a full-time role based in Altoona, PA, working all shifts alongside an MRI Technologist. The position supports daily MRI and CT services, handling patient intake, preparation, and safety procedures under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year of medical office experience, with medical terminology familiarity and CPR/BLS certification. IV insertion experience is desirable; Act 31/33/34/73 clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IV access and assist with contrast, provide instructions.
• Transport patients and clean exam rooms; report equipment issues.
