Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a PRN MRI Assistant to support the imaging team at Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside. You will greet, transport, and prepare patients for MRI, assist with positioning, monitor IVs, and help with room setup.

Responsibilities include patient screening, using Epic and PACS, maintaining privacy, handling clerical tasks, and aiding daily department operations. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and communicate clearly in English; CPR/BLS certification within 30 days preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet, escort and transport patients to MRI area.
• Assist with patient positioning and IV removal as needed.
• Prepare MRI scan room and support staff during procedures.
• Screen patients, enter information in Epic/PACS, and maintain privacy.
• Handle clerical duties and support daily department operations.
