Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform procedures per department protocols. You will operate MRI scanners and related equipment with proficiency, ensuring accurate imaging and patient safety.
Responsibilities include verifying orders with radiologists, preparing patients, documenting medical history, administering IV contrast per protocol, and maintaining safety standards in a high-exposure environment.

The MRI Technologist I perform procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates MRI Scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This equipment includes scanner, post processing stations/programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport and patient monitoring equipment.
Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Active enrollment in an MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire. CPR certification required.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development. Demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to stretch, bend twist, squat or kneel in the daily operation of the MRI department. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the day such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, being near moving equipment. Required to use radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation.
