Job summary

International Executive Service Corps is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Materials Recovery Facility/Transfer Station to oversee the operations department and supervise day-to-day activities.

The role focuses on scheduling staff, maintaining safety compliance, ensuring quality of materials, and coordinating with other shifts to meet production goals within the waste management sector. A strong background in supervision and DOT regulations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years in the waste industry/recycling programs; transportation, production and logistics operations; and one year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations and workers’ compensation laws.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and truck computer systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data driven prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Schedules employees and assigns them to balance workload and cover absences.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and improve methods.
• Monitors operations for efficiency and suggests changes to use equipment effectively.
• Checks incoming and outgoing material for quality standards.
• Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Coordinates with other supervisors across shifts.
• Investigates or reports worker injuries and incidents.
• Administers Collective Bargaining Agreements.
• Must be able to work any assigned shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
