Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA in Cheshire, CT seeks an MRB Engineer to lead the end-to-end management of nonconforming materials from identification to final acceptance.

You will ensure robust documentation, support root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence. This role emphasizes hands-on repair content, including plating, welding, coating, NDT, and heat treatments.

Qualifications

• US Person and ITAR restrictions must be met.
• High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years aerospace experience.
• Ability to read CAD tooling, drawings and part configurations.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with ERP systems recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) process end-to-end from identification to disposition.
• Document and track MRB dispositions (use-as-is, rework, repair, scrap).
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Production to drive root cause analysis.
• Monitor MRB metrics, trends, and cycle times; escalate risks as needed.
• Maintain traceability and proper documentation at every stage of rework or repair.
• Communicate supplier nonconformances and RTV actions with Supply Chain when applicable.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for nonconforming product control.
