Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Material Review Engineer for our Kansas facility. You will serve on the MRB, assess production nonconformances and document dispositions under FAA and OEM rules.

Strong collaboration with design and manufacturing teams is required to ensure rapid, compliant resolutions. The role demands an ABET-accredited engineering degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, with preference for MRB background in aerospace environments and CATIA V5 proficiency.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 5+ years engineering experience.
• MRB experience in aerospace production preferred.
• CATIA V5 knowledge preferred.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Represent MRB in Aerospace production/preproduction environments.
• Dispositions for production nonconformances per FAA and OEM requirements.
• Dispositions with single-signature authority for aircraft components.
• Investigate root causes and recommend design/disposition changes.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive initiatives.
• Develop and apply systems thinking to improve producibility.
