Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in Boynton Beach, FL. The role operates MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images with patient-centered care and high service standards.

This is a part-time position, 24 hours per week, with shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 8a to 8p. Qualified candidates will have AMA-approved radiography education, ARRT or ARMRIT certification, state licensure as applicable, CPR, and demonstrated ability to perform MRI procedures independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before MRI exam using two identifiers.
• Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures and position for scanning.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision and maintain patient records.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed and follow physicians' orders.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and disinfect equipment after use.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with imaging protocol manual updates and software upgrades.
• Monitor med supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
• Assist in training new team members.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday 8a-8p.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
