Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Clarksville, TN is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist for an outpatient imaging center. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. You will screen and prep patients, perform MRI procedures, ensure safety, and maintain records in the RIS. Requires AMA-approved radiography education, ARRT/ARMRIT, valid licensure, and CPR. Bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations.
• Licensed radiological technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exam for precautions or contraindications.
• Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body areas with minimal supervision.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters.
• Follow physicians' orders, conform to safety regulations, and maintain patient records in RIS.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area, sanitizing equipment and promoting safety.
• Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with updating imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
• Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as needed.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Position Details

Full‑time MRI Technologist. Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exam for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers.
• Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body areas with minimal supervision, providing support throughout the scan.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
• Follow physicians' orders, conform to safety regulations, and maintain patient records in the RIS.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area, sanitizing equipment and promoting safety.
• Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
