Job summary

CAE is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Instructor to support the MQ-9B SkyGuardian RPAS program and deliver maintenance training to RCAF personnel at AMDet(E) in Greenwood, Nova Scotia.

The role requires TC-approved qualifications and AME/AVIONIC credentials, with extensive maintenance experience and the ability to work in live and synthetic environments. Comprehensive benefits and security clearances are included.

Qualifications

• Two years of aircraft maintenance instructional experience.
• Five years of first-line and second-line aircraft maintenance experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in Canada (citizenship/permanent resident or valid work permit).
• Ability to obtain Controlled Goods Clearance and NATO Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical maintenance instruction per training plans and standards.
• Create, review, and improve instructional materials and lesson plans.
• Collaborate with SMEs and training developers to align content with requirements.
• Assess trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain knowledge of MQ-9B system updates and instructional best practices.
• Comply with CAE and RCAF policies and procedures.
• Foster a professional learning environment and promote engagement.
• Support scheduling, logistics, and administrative activities at AMDet(E) in Greenwood.
