Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced MQ-9 Sensor Operator to assist in commanding and operating UAV missions, ensuring safe payloads, sensors, and comms across CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities include mission planning, flight execution, and debriefs, with adherence to military, civil, and FAA rules. Requires strong teamwork, safety focus, and the ability to work extended hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Active clearance with ability to obtain higher clearance.
• Experience performing MQ-9 sensor operator duties in USN/USAF UAS operations.
• Certification to operate unmanned aircraft and sensors as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist PIC in planning, briefing, execution, and debrief for MQ-9 flights.
• Adhere to FAA, ICAO, and military flight rules.
• Operate unmanned aircraft and sensors with safety.
• Develop training materials to support flight operations.
• Coordinate integration of UAS into NAS with government and OEM partners.
• Collaborate to minimize risk and maintain airspace safety.
