Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level III Technical Analyst to join the In-Service NDT team in Tukwila, WA.

This onsite role supports aerospace inspection and post-production evaluation for Boeing programs, with a focus on developing and updating NDT procedures and calibration standards. The ideal candidate holds a NAS410 Level III in ET or UT, ASNT certification, and 5+ years of NDT experience, with 20+ years in related fields being a plus.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
  • Associate degree in a related discipline and typically 20+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5+ years of combined education and professional experience in Non-Destructive Testing.
  • Current certification from the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) / NAS410.
  • NAS410-compliant Level III certification in Eddy Current Testing (ET) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Author Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures supporting aerospace inspection and in-service aircraft requirements.
  • Incorporate revisions authored by the method Responsible Level III into the standard procedure review process.
  • Develop Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings for specialized NDT calibration standards.
  • Set up nondestructive test and measurement equipment using applicable calibration standards.
  • Develop technical procedure figures identifying inspection locations, geometry, accessibility, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal response.
  • Provide emergent Level III NDT technical support for commercial aircraft across the Puget Sound region.
  • Identify and report potential adverse trends, anomalous inspection results, and testing concerns.
  • Support NDT/NDE activities across the aircraft product lifecycle, including active airframe support and post-production test and evaluation.

We are hiring a Senior Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level III Technical Analyst in Tukwila, WA to support the In-Service NDT team based in Tukwila, WA on first shift. Our mission is to develop, implement, and sustain Non-Destructive Evaluation & Measurement technologies and processes for BCA Programs. We aim to be the recognized industry leader in Non Destructive Evaluation solutions that support product lifecycle sustainment and high-rate production. We modernize inspection methods to expand what's possible and deliver solutions that ensure the safety, quality, and reliability of Boeing products.

The Nondestructive Testing Customer Support and Emerging Technology team provides certification and qualification services across the value stream for NDE. The team supports commercial and defense aircraft including: 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, KC-46, & B1B. The team works to innovate and mature NDT technology for internal stakeholders and external customers. This team spans the entire product life cycle from product development to active airframe support and post-production test & evaluation.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and weekends when operationally necessary
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of related NDT work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level III certification in Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, or Radiographic Testing, with Level III certification or near-term eligibility in at least one additional method
  • Experience serving as a Principal or Responsible Level III and training or qualifying other Level III personnel
  • Advanced Ultrasonic Testing experience, including phased-array UT, shear-wave UT, immersion UT, or bubbler UT systems
  • Advanced Eddy Current Testing experience, including Eddy Current Array, low-frequency eddy current, or medium-frequency eddy current
  • Advanced Radiographic Testing experience involving film, computed radiography, digital radiography, computed tomography, or casting inspection
  • At least 1,200 documented UT hours, including 600+ hours of shear-wave UT
  • At least 1,200 documented ET hours, including 600+ hours of low-frequency eddy current
  • At least 1,200 documented RT hours, including 600+ hours of casting inspection
  • Proficiency with CAD software
  • Experience developing UT, ET, and RT inspection techniques and procedures
