Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Associate and Experienced NDT Specialists to support its In-Service NDT team in Tukwila, WA on first shift. This is a contract assignment through a Boeing approved third party, non-managerial and non-leadership, with equal opportunity emphasis and a stable work environment.

Pay range is provided as Min $66, Max $71 per hour USD, with optional benefits. Travel up to 15% may be required, and CAD skills plus UT/ET procedure experience are valued for the role.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in NDI/NDT.
• 20+ years in aerospace in-service support with UT and/or ET.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Able to work variable shifts, overtime, and weekends if necessary.
• Willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Experience writing UT & ET techniques and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Authors Non-Destructive Test (NDT) procedures.
• Incorporates revisions authored by method Responsible Level III in the standard procedure review process.
• Develops CAD drawings of specialized calibration standards.
• Sets up non-destructive test or measurement equipment to calibration standards.
• Composes figures detailing inspection location, geometry, accessibility, probe placement, and notch signal response.
• Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.

Position Responsibilities

• Authors Non-Destructive Test (NDT) procedures.
• Incorporates revisions authored by method Responsible Level III in the standard procedure review process.
• Develops Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) of specialized calibration standard.
• Performs setup for non-destructive test or measurement equipment to calibration standards.
• Composes procedure Figures providing information on inspection location, geometry, accessibility, probe /transducer placement, and notch signal response.
• Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.

Required Skills

• 20+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test).
• 20+ years working in aerospace in-service support with ultrasonics testing (UT) and/or eddy current(ET).
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends if necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Experience writing UT & ET techniques and inspection procedures

Preferred Skills

• 25+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 800 hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• 300 hours of Ultrasonic Shear-Wave Testing
• 800 hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET).
• Experience with CAD Software
