Job summary

Nemak is seeking an MP&L Coordinator to support the Materials Department with inventory control and production follow-up. You will coordinate truck schedules with third‑party logistics, manage disposition of racks, inbound/outbound flows, and arrange roll off and flatbed moves.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in supply chain or related field, 3–5+ years in a similar role, automotive experience preferred, and strong Excel and communication skills. SAP and other systems are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree, Trade or Tech. School in Supply Chain or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5+ years work experience in a similar role.
  • Automotive experience preferred.
  • Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience with Covisint, eSupplier connect, I-Exchange, Oracle Business Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates movement of logistics – internal and external
  • Sets up special shipments as they come up for customers or internal needs within plants and warehouse including 3rd party transportation
  • Coordinates disposition of racks receipt and return loads
  • Sets up special truck needs including flat bed and roll offs
  • Attends daily meetings with customers and other Nemak sites to coordinate shared schedules and services
  • Coordinates trailer rental and repair
  • Monitors accuracy of trailer load sheets and follow up on discrepancies

Objective

The MP&L Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Materials Department in all aspects of inventory control and follow-up for production control. Work with third party logistics providers to coordinate truck schedule and is responsible to coordinate disposition of racks, inbound and outbound. Set up roll off and flatbed moves.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinates movement of logistics – internal and external
