Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Packaging Associate for 1st shift to join our manufacturing team. Starting at $22.62/hour with benefits after 90 days. 1st shift hours: 6am - done and/or 6:30am - done.

You will perform packaging duties, rotate across lines, and help maintain safety and quality on the line, while adhering to GMPs and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education, experience, or training.
• Excellent work ethic, consistent attendance, and must be able to work overtime and holidays.
• Ability to work with mathematical figures (addition, subtraction, multiply and divide).
• Ability to lift 25-30 lb, frequent stooping, squatting, reaching, and handling 25-30# tubs of cheese/finished product.

Responsibilities

• Perform packaging duties as assigned by the Packaging Supervisor.
• Rotate between lines and positions ensuring good ergonomics.
• Read and understand production and packaging schedules and packaging verification reports.
• Assist in setting up for production and changeovers.
• Visually inspect product for quality defects.
• Observe all safety rules, work rules and procedures.
• Know all clean-up procedures and chemical handling procedures.
• Operate and maintain foamer.
• Adhere to GMPs and food safety policies.

• Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and food safety.

You are best suited for the role if you...

• A High School Diploma or equivalent education, experience, or training.
• An excellent work ethic, consistent attendance, and must be able to work, overtime, and holidays.
• The ability to work comfortably with mathematical figures. (Addition, subtraction, multiply and divide)
• The Ability to physically be able to do medium to heavy work in terms of lifting, with frequent stooping, squatting, reaching, and handling 25-30# tubs of cheese/finished product.
