Job summary

Tender Lawn Care in West Michigan is seeking a dependable crew member to operate commercial mowing equipment and complete landscaping tasks. You will work with the team to meet client expectations and uphold quality standards.

This role involves outdoor work, occasional Saturdays, and overtime as required. You will gain hands-on experience with new equipment and have opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and an eye for excellence.
• Punctual and able to stay until the day’s work is complete.
• Mowing experience is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to manage workload and work independently.
• Effective communication with others.
• Open to learning and following company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial Zero Turn mowers according to company spec.
• Perform string trimming and edging at job sites.
• Use backpack blowers to clean surfaces after mowing.
• Transport equipment using Tender Lawn Care truck and trailer.
• Work safely, efficiently, and timely.
• May work alone or oversee other crew members.
• Ensure each jobsite meets site specifications and quality expectations.
• Give directions and assign work at jobsites.

Schedule

7:30 am to 5:30 pm, some Saturdays and overtime as required

Job Duties

• Operate commercial Zero Turn mowers according to company specification for cut and height


• Perform string trimming and edging at job sites


• Utilize backpack blowers to clean surfaces after mowing and trimming is complete


• Transport equipment using a Tender Lawn Care truck and trailer


• Work in a safe, efficient, and timely manner


• May work alone or oversee other crew members


• Ensure each jobsite is completed to site specification and Tender Lawn Care’s quality expectations


• Give directions and assign work at jobsites

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and an eye for excellence


• Ability to be on time and stay until the day’s work is complete


• Previous commercial mowing experience is a plus, but not required


• Valid Drivers License


• Ability to manage workload and work independently


• Must be able to communicate with others in an effective and positive way


• Possess an open mind towards learning and taking direction; we do things differently at Tender Lawn Care

Physical requirements

• Stand, bend and kneel for extended periods of time


• Lift a minimumof 50 pounds often
