Job summary

Royal Hawaiian Movers, Inc. is seeking a motivated Moving Consultant / Surveyor to join our team in Hawaii. You will conduct on-site and virtual surveys, prepare accurate estimates, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the moving process.

You will assess furniture and goods to determine weight and transport needs, maintain CRM records, and help train new survey personnel as needed. This role supports our status as Hawaii's premier moving and transportation company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Moving/transportation industry experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Hawaii geography is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys for moves (residential, office, industrial).

Royal Hawaiian Movers, Inc. is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Moving Consultant / Surveyor to join our team. This position plays a critical role in assisting customers with their relocation needs by conducting on-site and virtual surveys, preparing accurate estimates, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the moving process. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys for residential household goods moves, office relocations, and industrial moves.
• Assess furniture, equipment, and household goods to determine weight, volume, and transportation requirements.
• Prepare and provide accurate moving estimates and proposals.
• Follow up on quotes and maintain communication with prospective customers.
• Answer customer questions regarding moving services, processes, and timelines.
• Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to support future business opportunities.
• Perform periodic customer check-ins to ensure a high level of service satisfaction.
• Assist with training and onboarding new survey personnel as needed.
• Maintain customer information and activity records within the company CRM system.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to operate a tablet or mobile device while conducting all surveys.
• Friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work occasional weekends or overtime when business needs require.
• Valid driver's license for conducting on-site surveys.
• Must be familiar with scheduling to conduct virtual surveys and be tech-savvy, with the ability to conduct all matters online.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize surveys in a fast-paced environment, ensuring urgent requests are addressed first.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and criminal background check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBIDS card.
• Must be able to meet MVR requirements per our policy.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Moving and transportation industry experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Hawaii's geography, travel routes, traffic patterns, and distances is highly desirable.
