Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a General Manager Trainee at our Indianapolis location. You will learn how to keep a moving and storage center profitable by managing inventory, equipment, and staff while solving problems as they arise.

This role offers hands-on training through U-Haul University and opportunities for advancement. The position requires 1-3 years of management experience in retail or service with P&L responsibility, strong computer and organizational skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of management experience in retail or service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction
• Capability to manage inventory and personnel
• Good computer and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment
• Track and itemize inventory
• Ensure that customers receive the highest quality of care
• Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash
• Clean and monitor the premises, and maintain a secure environment
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University
