Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing patients' medical histories.
  • Diagnosing patients by observing movements and listening to concerns.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Outlining clear goals for patients and expected outcomes.
  • Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to reduce pain and improve mobility.
  • Recording progress and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Educating patients and families about recovery processes.
  • Consulting with patients to understand conditions and symptoms.
  • Assisting patients with use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers.
  • Recommend at-home treatment options and exercises.

Education

Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Successful completion of National Certification Examination
Valid PT license in state of Florida
