The University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a distinguished movement disorders neurologist to become Division Director of Movement Disorders. The leader will oversee a growing program with advanced neuromodulation and NIH-funded labs, coordinating care across a large, diverse population in the Twin Cities.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, translational research, and education, reporting to the Chair of Neurology.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent degree with ABPN board eligibility.
• Fellowship in Movement Disorders or equivalent expertise.
• Eligibility for Minnesota medical licensure.
• Strong clinical expertise in movement disorders.
• Scholarly productivity suitable for Associate Professor/Professor on clinical track.
• Experience leading clinical research or trials preferred.
• Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Leadership style fostering culture, mentorship, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Division of Movement Disorders and oversee clinical and translational programs.
• Drive neuromodulation research and NIH-supported initiatives.
• Collaborate across neurology, neurosurgery, neuropsychology, rehab, and engineering.
• Support fellowship programs, curriculum development, and faculty development.
• Mentor residents, fellows, and junior faculty; advance education.
