Job summary

Michigan United in Kalamazoo is seeking a Canvassing Fellowship Lead to drive the 2026 voter contact program. You will supervise Canvassing Fellows, coach door-to-door conversations, and ensure high-quality outreach.

This in-person role requires energy, organization, and a commitment to racial and economic justice. Training, metrics, and teamwork are central as you help mobilize community members toward action for the 2026 election cycle.

Qualifications

• Commitment to MI United Action’s theory of change and justice.
• Willingness to learn and lead in a fast-paced, grassroots setting.
• Experience engaging diverse communities and asking for action.

Responsibilities

• Execute door-to-door canvassing as part of the election program.
• Shadow and coach Fellows, provide feedback on conversations.
• Support launches and onboarding of new Fellows.
• Maintain data integrity and report daily results.
• Attend trainings and staff development sessions.
• Help transition leaders to permanent organizing roles after the election.
