Job summary

MI United is seeking a Canvassing Fellowship Lead to drive field operations for the 2026 election cycle, focusing on registering, educating and mobilizing voters through door-to-door outreach. Lead fellows will set standards for conversation quality, shadow peers, and assist with launches and onboarding.

This in-person, temporary role includes a training program, leadership development, and a retention bonus. Expect dynamic teamwork and community engagement across Michigan communities.

Qualifications

• Commitment to MI United Action’s theory of change and justice commitments.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and willingness to engage the public.

Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive door-to-door outreach to register, educate and mobilize voters.
• Shadow fellows and provide feedback on door conversations.
• Support launches and onboardings and maintain data integrity.
• Record conversations in the MiniVAN app and participate in daily briefings.
