Job summary

JK Moving Services is seeking a Move Specialist (Mover) for residential relocations in Gaithersburg, MD. Under supervision, you will assist with moving, packing, wrapping, inventory, and transport of household goods, delivering a professional customer experience.

You will join a crew, lift and move items safely, follow safety rules, and maintain a neat, professional appearance while on customer premises. A HS diploma or GED is required; reliable dispatch and the ability to pass a background

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Clear and concise communication with other crew members, clients, and move coordinators.
• Reliable and available for dispatch on time and possible with varying work schedules.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
• Capable of lifting 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Helps with the pick-up (loading), transportation, and delivery (unloading and placement) of household goods/equipment.
• Involves lifting, movement and placement of heavy items by hand or with the assistance of material handling equipment (hand-truck or dolly).
• Receives instruction from crew leader and adheres to all company policies and safety rules.
• Works with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction and contract compliance.
• Must wear company-approved uniform and maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company and delivering service to customers.
• Responsible for proper use of all company equipment, packing materials, and proper treatment of company vehicles at all times.
• Display professional conduct, courtesy, and manners when entering and performing work in the customer's home.

Overview
