Job summary

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fort Wayne is seeking a Move Manager to lead moving crews and manage daily operations in a safe, customer-focused way. This on-site role requires strong leadership and the ability to schedule, dispatch, and supervise teams.

You will oversee staffing, performance, and training, while promoting our brand and ensuring DOT/FMCSA compliance. The position includes on-call responsibilities outside normal hours and a competitive base pay.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams and managing staff.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and dispatch mover/driver teams daily; coordinate scheduling and truck assignments.
• Lead by example in communication, performance, attitude, attendance, and work ethic; responsible for team development and motivation.
• Promote and protect the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® brand.
• Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and train new employees, or assist with these processes.
• Complete various dispatch duties, including performance audits during moves to ensure safety and customer satisfaction, vehicle inspections, and paperwork audits.
• Assist with coordinating and directing fleet maintenance and equipment inventory; ensure trucks and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner.
• Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines.
• Responsible for employee development, accountability, and corrective action programs.
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Assist with customer concerns and damage resolution processes as necessary.
• Responsible for being an “on-call” emergency contact outside of normal business hours.
