Job summary

Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking an internship focused on Movable Bridge Design and Analysis in Mechanicsburg, PA.

The role targets a Civil Engineering student pursuing an ABET-accredited degree and who has completed courses such as Concrete Design, Steel Design, or Structural Analysis. You will assist in design verifications, support analysis using LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, and MicroStation, and help prepare design reports under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Ideal candidate will have completed at least two of: Concrete Design, Steel Design, Structural Analysis.
  • Gain exposure to structural analysis and design software and to CAD tools in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review and verification of standard structural design calculations.
  • Support the structural analysis and design of bridge components using engineering software tools.
  • Help develop preliminary design details using CAD software and provide input to CAD technicians for contract plan development.
  • Contribute to design reports by compiling relevant technical information.
  • Review and check engineering drawings under close supervision.
