Job summary

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort seeks a Ski Maintenance Technician to keep ski facilities and mountain operations safe, reliable, and ready each day. You will service lift controls, electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, and snowmaking, performing preventative maintenance while collaborating with Engineering and Activities teams.

The role offers growth within engineering and exposure to diverse resort applications, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of mechanical maintenance and equipment operation experience.
• Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles, practices, methods, and materials.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to speak English.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varied outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively with Activities Team and other resort departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ski lift controls, safety systems, electrical equipment, and other critical equipment while completing pre-operation inspections after training.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems, engines, and related components.
• Groom ski slopes and support snowmaking operations to ensure mountain readiness.
• Perform preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce disruptions.
• Coordinate with Engineering leadership and the Activities Team as conditions change.
• Provide safe, professional technical service in support of guest safety and mountain experience.
• Gain hands-on experience with specialized ski maintenance systems and grow technically within the Engineering Team.
