Job summary

Massanutten Resort in Virginia is seeking a Ski/Bike Patroller to provide on-mountain first aid and transportation, manage incidents, and promote safety through hazard mitigation and rider education. You will support chairlift operations, perform search-and-rescue, and help open/close the ski area and bike trails.

The ideal candidate holds Outdoor Emergency Care and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, ICS-100, and National Ski Patrol membership, with excellent customer service and sharp

Qualifications

• Outdoor Emergency Care certification required.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification required.
• ICS-100 certification required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service and bedside manner.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in mountain biking and skiing or snowboarding.
• National Ski Patrol member.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests and employees with first aid and transportation off of the slopes and trails.
• Open and close slopes and trails.
• Monitor slopes and trails for changing conditions and address conditions as needed.
• Enforce reckless skier/biker policy.
• Document incidents involving injured or ill guests and employees and alert supervisor when additional documentation may be necessary.
• Evacuate chairlifts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
