Job summary

Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, MT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for our facilities and residential equipment. You’ll handle carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, and light electrical work across the property, with daily pool and spa checks, and logs kept up to date.

This role is outdoors most of the time, requires safety‑conscious work, and occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays. You’ll work with trusted contractors, record-keeping, and adhere to standard procedures to keep our

Qualifications

• Must be dependable and available to work on property on weekends, nights, and/or holidays based on business demands.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Pool experience and CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily checks of pools and spas, including covering and uncovering pools and spas, balancing chemicals, and maintaining logs.
• Contribute to improving the function and reliability of facility equipment and facilities through preventative maintenance and reports.
• Uphold all standard operating procedures put in place by the Director of Facilities and Facilities Manager.
• Prioritize work orders and complete tasks accordingly.
• Work with outside contractors, as directed.
• Follow all safety regulations to provide a safer work environment.
• Perform all duties as assigned by the senior management team, as deemed appropriate, including light maintenance and cleaning.
• Complete assigned tasks, work orders, and maintenance procedures in a timely, safe, and correct manner.
• Document all maintenance and services in accordance with company guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of all work activities, support materials including parts used, and supplies needed for projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong decision-making ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to interact with associates and guests alike in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with a high level of professionalism.
