Job summary

Snow King Mountain Resort in Jackson, Wyoming seeks a seasoned Banquet Chef to lead our banquet kitchen for weddings, conferences, and special events. You will plan, prepare, and execute high-quality banquet menus, supervise culinary staff, and collaborate with the Executive Chef and Event team to deliver exceptional dining.

The role requires a culinary degree and 3–5 years of banquet or large-scale event experience, strong leadership, and thorough knowledge of food safety.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of banquet and/or large-scale event experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, sanitation, and safety standards (ServSafe preferred).
• Experience managing multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee banquet food preparation for events of varying sizes.
• Execute banquet menus according to recipes and event specifications.
• Coordinate production schedules and staffing for events.
• Supervise and mentor banquet cooks and kitchen staff.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies and costs.
