Job summary

Champion Home Builders is seeking a General Manager for our Murphy, NC manufactured housing sales and development operation. This leadership role oversees the Murphy location, guiding day-to-day operations, sales performance, and an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate has substantial manufactured housing experience, strong leadership and project-management skills, and a proven track record in coordinating with contractors and public officials to ensure seamless home placements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail housing operation or construction project management.
• Strong sales leadership with focus on customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with contractors, utilities, and officials.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and overall performance of the Murphy location.
• Drive sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
• Guide customers through purchasing of new homes within residential development.
• Sell manufactured homes to customers on private property across the region.
• Conduct site inspections and evaluate access, terrain, grading, utilities, foundations, and delivery logistics.
• Identify potential installation challenges and communicate additional costs before work begins.
• Coordinate with contractors, installers, utilities, and local officials for successful home placements.
• Build relationships with local builders, excavators, Realtors, lenders, and community partners.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience from first meeting through move-in.
