Job summary

Mt. Bachelor is hiring a Mountain Dispatch Specialist to learn ski area operations and relay weather and snow data to teams and guests. The role involves documenting observations, coordinating with grooming, lift operations, and patrol, and maintaining accurate communications.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and reliable, with early morning shifts and indoor work most of the time. Seasonal work from mid-November to late May, in-office scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience in a communications-focused position preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate operational status and weather/snow conditions to internal teams and guests.
• Document weather observations, grooming reports, and lift openings/closings.
• Serve as central dispatch via radio and phone, supporting Ski Patrol as needed.
• Assist with emergency procedures and cross-department tasks when required.
