GM Motorsports in Concord, NC, is seeking an early-career test cell automation engineer to support race-test-cell automation for racing and performance vehicles, engines, and powertrain systems at the Charlotte Technical Center.

You will work with experienced engineers to configure, script, validate, troubleshoot, and document test cell automation and data acquisition systems, developing expertise in dynamometer testing and motorsports powertrain development.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Controls/Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Internship or co-op in controls, automation, data acquisition, or motorsports.
• Foundational knowledge of sensors, instrumentations, data acquisition, control systems, and software.
• Ability to follow procedures and make day-to-day decisions within guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication of technical information.

Aufgaben

• Support configuration, checkout, and calibration of test cell automation systems.
• Develop and modify test scripts and sequences using templates and engineering direction.
• Assist with test cell integration, input/output validation, and software parameter updates.
• Maintain configuration records, test documentation, and change history.
• Perform data-quality checks and support data analysis and reporting.
