Job summary

GM Motorsports in Charlotte seeks an early-career engineer to support race test cell automation for racing and performance powertrain systems. You will configure, script, validate, troubleshoot, and document test cell automation and data acquisition with a team of experienced engineers.

You will develop test scripts, perform data-quality checks, assist with instrumentation calibration, and help coordinate data integration for AVL/Concerto tooling. Onsite role with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering field.
• Internship or project work in controls, automation, or motorsports.
• Foundational knowledge of sensors, data acquisition, and control systems.
• Ability to work within defined guidelines and document results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support configuration, checkout, and calibration of test cell automation systems.
• Develop and modify test scripts and data templates.
• Perform data-quality checks and assist with instrumentation calibration.
• Contribute to dynamometer and full-vehicle test activities for Motorsports.
