Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC, is seeking an onsite Facilities Engineering Technician to maintain and repair motorsports facility systems. The role supports dyno test cells, support equipment, and critical infrastructure to meet aggressive testing schedules.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on mechanical and electrical experience, strong troubleshooting, and a safe, methodical approach under motorsports timelines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technician with mechanical/electrical facility systems in high-performance environments.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and electrical prints.
• Familiarity with PLCs, CMMS/BAS tools, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems (HVAC, water, electrical, compressed air, exhaust).
• Diagnose equipment issues to support rapid testing schedules.
• Maintain AHUs, filters, safety resets, inspections, and airflow verification.
