Job summary

Flatrock Motorclub is seeking an experienced Motorsports Mechanic to maintain, repair, diagnose, and prepare luxury and high-performance vehicles for track days and member events. You will work with top-tier brands and deliver exceptional workmanship within a luxury motorsports environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Minimum 3 years working with luxury, exotic, or high-performance vehicles.
• Extensive hands-on experience servicing and repairing: Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz AMG, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Corvette Performance Platforms, and similar vehicles.
• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with track-prepared, race-prepared, and performance-focused vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of engine, suspension, braking, cooling, and electrical systems; diagnostics and scan tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical service information and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on luxury, exotic, and high-performance vehicles.
• Assist with complex repairs and difficult diagnostic concerns.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on member vehicles.
• Diagnose engine, electrical, drivability, suspension, braking, cooling, and performance-related issues.
• Complete repairs per manufacturer specs and best practices.
• Perform pre-track and post-track vehicle inspections.
• Ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards before release.
• Prepare vehicles for track days and events; assist with setup and performance modifications.
• Provide track support and emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop; manage parts and documentation.
• Deliver professional customer service aligned with luxury standards.

Job Title: Motorsports Mechanic

Flatrock Motorclub is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Motorsports Mechanic for the maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and preparation of luxury and high-performance vehicles. This position requires extensive experience working on Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz AMG, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Corvette performance platforms, and other track-focused vehicles. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic capabilities, race vehicle knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional workmanship in a luxury motorsports environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on luxury, exotic, and high-performance vehicles.
• Assist with complex repairs and difficult diagnostic concerns.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on member vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, suspension, braking, cooling, and performance-related issues.
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
• Perform pre-track and post-track vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and operational standards before being released.

Motorsports & Track Support

• Prepare vehicles for track days, driving events, and member experiences.
• Perform vehicle setup adjustments including suspension, braking systems, alignment, and performance modifications.
• Support members and staff during track events with technical assistance and emergency repairs.
• Assist with race vehicle preparation and performance optimization.

Shop Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and shop resources.
• Assist in managing parts inventory and ordering specialized components.
• Accurately document repairs, diagnostics, and service recommendations.

Member Experience

• Interact professionally with members regarding vehicle concerns, maintenance recommendations, and repair explanations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistent with the luxury standards of Flatrock Motorclub.
• Build trust and confidence through technical expertise and professionalism.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and environmental standards.
• Maintain proper handling and disposal of automotive fluids and hazardous materials.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and incidents promptly.

• ASE Master Technician Certification.
• Porsche, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, or other manufacturer certifications.
• Previous motorsports, racing, or performance shop experience.
• Experience with data acquisition, telemetry systems, and performance analysis.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to safely operate luxury, exotic, and high-performance vehicles.
• Ability to work around moving vehicles, shop equipment, noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Work is performed in a professional automotive service facility and outdoors during track events.
• Exposure to vehicle exhaust, loud noises, shop equipment, and changing weather conditions is expected.
• Schedule may vary based on business needs, member demand, and track events.
• The standard work week for this position is Wednesday through Sunday. Evening and holiday work may be required during major events and peak operating periods.
