Job summary

FlatrockMotorclub in Rockwood, Tennessee, seeks a Track Operations Support to help run the racetrack with a focus on safety, presentation, and daily operations. The role supports member driving events, vehicle logistics, facility readiness, and safety operations to ensure an exceptional experience for members and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily track opening and closing procedures.
  • Inspect track surfaces, runoff areas, barriers, fencing, and safety equipment.
  • Set up and remove cones, signage, barriers, and event equipment.
  • Support track day operations and special events.
  • Assist with pit lane and paddock operations.
  • Monitor track conditions and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Perform track cleanup and debris removal as needed.
  • Assist with track flagging operations when required.
  • Respond to on-track incidents under Track Operations leadership.
  • Support emergency response and track restoration efforts.
  • Ensure safety equipment is properly maintained and readily available.
  • Assist in enforcing track rules and procedures.
  • Operate utility vehicles, golf carts, and light equipment safely.
  • Perform routine maintenance on track-related equipment.
  • Assist with grounds maintenance around track and paddock areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance throughout the property.
  • Support setup and teardown of member events, driving schools, and corporate functions.

Position Summary

The Track OperationsSupportplays a critical role in the daily operation, presentation, and safety of the racetrack and surrounding facilities. This position supports track activities, member driving events, vehiclelogistics, facility readiness, and safety operations to ensure an exceptional experience for members and guests.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced motorsports environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Track Operations
  • Assistwith daily track opening and closing procedures.

  • Inspect track surfaces, runoff areas, barriers, fencing, and safety equipment.

  • Set up and remove cones, signage, barriers, and event equipment.

  • Support track day operations andspecial events.

  • Assistwith pit lane and paddock operations.

Member & Guest Experience
  • Provide exceptional service to members and guests.

  • Assistmembers with general track-related questions and needs.

  • Alwaysmaintaina professional and welcoming presence.

  • Work collaboratively with Member Experience, Hospitality, Service, and Events teams.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GEDrequired.

  • Previousexperience in motorsports, facility operations, maintenance, public safety, or related fields preferred.

  • Strong attention to safety and situational awareness.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred.

  • Experience operating utility vehicles and light equipment is a plus.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordrequired.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain.

  • Ability to respond quickly during emergency situations.

Work Environment
  • Primarily outdoor work in amotorsportsenvironment.

  • Exposure toloud noises, moving vehicles, fuel odors, dust, and changing weather conditions.

  • Schedule will vary based on track activities, member events, and operational needs.

  • Must be availabletowork evenings, weekends, holidays, andspecial eventsasrequired.
