Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Motor Engineer II to collaborate with global teams and drive motor performance verification and scalable mass production. You will develop platform-based motor designs, ensuring consistent Milwaukee Tool motors worldwide.

You will design, prototype, test, and qualify motor solutions, working with suppliers and internal teams to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years in a design-related role.
• Knowledge of brushless and brushed PMDC/AC motor theory.
• Experience with FEA and CAD tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic/international).

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, test, and troubleshoot motors for mid to high-level complexity projects.
• Create test plans for motor components and assemblies.
• Use oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and data acquisition systems.
• Conduct experiments, simulations, and analyze data.
• Perform root cause failure analysis on motor failures.
• Self-manage projects and communicate progress.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with suppliers for component selection.
• Document technical meetings and presentations.
• Maintain understanding of manufacturing processes for mass production.
• Design and qualify solutions to UL, CEC, CE, ANSI.
