Job summary

FLANDERS Inc. in Evansville, IN is seeking a Mechanic I to join the 2nd Shift High Bay team. The role involves disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling basic electromechanical motors and equipment, with 1st shift training for the first year.

You will perform basic tests, read diagrams, mark parts, document work per ISO standards, and ensure proper lubrication and safety practices. Shift options include 1st 6am-2:30pm transitioning to 2nd shift; Evansville location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years in industrial assembly, preferably motors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong safety practices in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, test and reassemble motors and equipment.
• Read work scope to determine job status, work authorizations/limitations, description of problems, and expected serviceability.
• Mark parts, take photos, and complete paperwork per ISO standards.
• Assemble motors and equipment including bearings.
• Pre-test electrical and mechanical systems and ensure proper lubrication per customer standards.
• Troubleshoot known or suspected problems.
• Operate Megger, Hypot tester, Surge Tester, Volt-Ohm Meter as needed.
• Read and draw diagrams of motors and parts.
• Maintain thorough paperwork throughout repair process.
• Store parts accurately according to job status and ISO standards.
