Job summary

Village Coachworks in Wichita, KS seeks a versatile Body Technician/Build Technician to repair, refinish, and restore motorcoach bodies and components to high-quality standards. You will also assist with interior build, cabinetry, flooring, electrical, and general construction tasks as needed.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, related technical training or experience, and proven ability to operate power tools, spray equipment, and shop machinery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; college/technical school certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, RV, bus, or related body repair and refinishing.
• Ability to safely operate power tools, spray equipment, and shop machinery.
• Ability to read and follow written, verbal, diagram, and schedule-based instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reli able transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Repair, refinish, and restore motorcoach bodies and components to quality standards.
• Operate body shop equipment safely and correctly.
• Mask/protect surfaces not being repaired, painted, or coated.
• Fill scratches and repair damaged parts with fiberglass and other approved materials.
• Replace un-repairable parts as needed.
• Repair structural damage to motorcoaches.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area.
• Follow safety regulations and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Assist with motorcoach interior build and customization as workload requires.
• Support maintenance and improvement projects within the Coachworks facility.
