Job summary

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) is seeking a Body Repair II to perform removal, repair and replacement of body components on motor coaches. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the role focuses on body repair with occasional Mechanic III duties.

Core tasks include removing and replacing body and frame parts, lights, doors, windows, upholstery and accessories; conducting pre-delivery inspections; assisting Mechanics I and II; and performing lubrication, transmission and brake work as needed.

Qualifications

• Body repair experience focused on removal, repair and replacement of body components.
• Experience assisting Mechanics I and II.

Responsibilities

• Removal, repair and replacement of all body and frame components (including riveted, spot-welded and perimeter-welded parts, panels, frame members and bulkheads).
• Removal, repair, and replacement of lights, doors (entry, luggage, and compartments), windows and window glass, moldings, upholstery, and body accessories.
• Pre-delivery inspection of new and pre-owned coaches.
• Assist Mechanic I and II.
• General lubrication functions including engine oil/filter changes, air filter changes, and chassis lubrication.
• Transmission fluid and differential fluid checks, axle/wheel inspection, removal, and replacement of brake components lubrication.
• Parts disassembly and cleaning.
