Job summary

The Cole Family of Harley-Davidson Dealerships is seeking a General Merchandise Manager for our Florence, SC location. This role leads the Harley-Davidson Motorclothes/General Merchandise department, oversees displays, inventory, promotions, and staff performance to deliver an outstanding guest experience.

You will manage stock levels, coordinate with the P&A team, set work schedules, and drive sales through compelling in-store merchandising and promotions. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with retail sales and inventory management.
• Prefer knowledge and experience with servicing of Harley-Davidson General Merchandise, and other products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn them.
• Experience with Point-of-Sale and Parts & Service management computer software or the ability to quickly learn due to general knowledge & experience with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure General Merchandise personnel are well trained and available when needed.
• Design displays for merchandise, which are appealing to customers and make effective use of fixtures, wall displays, show cases, window displays.
• Regulate seasonal promotions and coordinate them with other departments.
• Review stock orders to ensure fast-moving balanced inventory; coordinate orders with P&A manager.
• Maintain sufficient quantities of stock to support demand and inventory turn.
• Supervise and maintain an accurate inventory management and control system.
• Establish departmental work schedule and sales quotas for staff.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and terminating employees as needed.
