Job summary

Tarrant County in Texas is seeking a Supervisor for the Motor Vehicle division. The incumbent will supervise frontline MV staff, oversee registration renewals, titles, and coordinate subcontract sites in the absence of the manager.

Responsibilities include managing cash registers, assisting customers by mail, phone, and in person, supervising inventory, and training new staff. The role requires knowledge of TxDMV RTS systems and several years in motor vehicle operations.

Qualifications

• Five years of office or retail experience required, with three years in motor vehicle systems.
• Must know all phases of motor vehicle registration, titles, regulations and laws.
• Aptitude for basic math and experience dealing with the public.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Motor Vehicle frontline staff and maintain personnel records.
• Open/close MV cash register and balance daily deposits; may prepare bank deposits.
• Assist customers by mail, telephone, and in person; support staff with customer issues.
• Maintain detailed inventory records and conduct audits for accuracy.
• Assume Manager duties in their absence; resolve MV problems; train new staff.
• Coordinate assignments and resolve staffing issues with Managers.
