Job summary

United States Army Reserve seeks a Motor Transport Operator to support transportation logistics by supervising and operating wheeled vehicles, transporting cargo and troops, and ensuring mission readiness.

The role is part-time (2 days a month, 2 weeks in the summer) allowing college or other work commitments, with competitive pay and benefits including student loan repayment and signing bonus. Galax, VA assignment and ASVAB eligibility are noted requirements.

Qualifications

• ASVAB test eligibility and score may be required.
• Must have interest in joining the Army.
• No tattoos on hands, face, or neck (ring tattoos allowed).
• No felony history.
• No major medical procedures prohibiting service.

Responsibilities

• Report vehicle problems or damage to maintenance.

Job description

As a Motor Transport Operator, you’ll play an important part of the Army’s transportation logistics team. You’ll supervise and operate wheeled vehicles over all types of terrain to safely transport cargo, troops, and provide advanced mobility on all missions. You’ll manage loading, unloading, and report any vehicle problems or damage.
