Job summary

KBR's Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) in Jacksonville, Florida seeks an experienced Manager to oversee the installation and operation of Motor Transport field maintenance shops, field recovery, and the control of recovery and contact maintenance teams. Through subordinate supervisors, you will coordinate servicing, storage and repair of MT equipment, aiming for optimum use of assets.

You will interpret technical drawings and work orders, review expenditure and performance reports,

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight years of related work experience including four years supervisory in motor transport.
• Completed motor transport maintenance officer course or equivalent.
• Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare parts.
• Ability to analyze maintenance/repair or operation to determine improvements.
• Ability to comply with established methods, standards, and schedules.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and CAC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation and operation of MT field maintenance shops, field recovery, and control of recovery and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate activities of workers servicing, storing and repairing MT equipment.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
• Ensure completed work complies with specifications and schedules.
• Review expenditure, financial and operations reports to determine requirements and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Assist in requisitions for equipment, materials and supplies within department budget.
• Prepare management reports and assist in policy development and procedures.
• Plan and manage human resource activities within a unionized environment and supervise lead mechanics.
