Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an assembly technician to work second shift on motor units. You will review drawings, inspect components, assemble and test rotors, stators, seals, and insulation systems, and verify tests on electrical and vibration performance.

The role emphasizes precision, documentation, 6S practices, and continuous improvement. You must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments and adapt to shift transitions; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered after

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Solid math, reading, writing, and communication abilities.
Understanding of EHS procedures, product standards, and assembly processes.
Hands-on experience with machines, tools, and equipment maintenance.
Skill in documenting and recording information accurately.

Responsibilities

Inspect, clean, disassemble, reassemble, and adjust motor units to exact tolerances and customer specs.
Perform inbound inspections, stage components, remove couplings using specialized tools, and assess key parts.
Prepare and test assemblies: rotors, stators, seals, pulse wheels, coils, and insulation systems.
Install bearings; complete reassembly; flush regreasing systems.
Run electrical, insulation, surge, balance, and vibration testing.
Maintain a safe, organized work area; prepare motors for painting; care for tools; drive 6S and continuous improvement.
