Hiring Rate: $21.61 - $24.31 hourly
Full Pay Range: $21.61 - $32.41 hourly
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
3-day weekends Friday - Sunday

Position Overview:
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work. Operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, wastewater, streets, and the City's drainage system. Pours, spreads, and levels concrete; sets forms, ties steel, wrecks form, backfills, lays sod, uses various finishing tools, etc. Work is performed with moderate supervision. This position works on Capital Improvement Projects funded with bond proceeds.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or GED and three (3) years of general maintenance experience relating to construction, maintenance, and repair of streets and drainage, as well as at least one year of experience in a skilled labor field such as asphalt paving, concrete forming, setup, and finishing. Valid driver's license required. Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement is preferred or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment. Ability to maintain city driving standards in accordance with the driver standards established by the City of Rowlett.
Must reside within a 1-hour response time from the Public Works Building; employee will have six (6) months from employment date in which to relocate. May be required to be on-call and work nights, evenings, and weekends.
