H&R Block is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer - Creator to produce engaging video and motion content for organic social media and owned channels. This role blends storytelling with brand communication to strengthen awareness and audience growth.

Reporting into Creative within Marketing, you will collaborate with Social Media, Brand Marketing, Content Strategy, and Creative teams to bring campaigns to life through motion while maintaining high production standards and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Motion Design, Digital Media, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in motion graphics, animation, or digital content creation.
• Strong portfolio showing motion design, video editing, and storytelling across social/digital channels.
• Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of platform-specific content best practices and trends.

About the Role

At H&R Block, the Motion Graphics Designer - Creator is responsible for creating engaging video and motion content that strengthens brand awareness, customer engagement, and audience growth across organic social media, owned channels, and digital content platforms. This role combines motion design expertise with storytelling and brand communication to produce content that captures attention and builds meaningful customer connections.

Reporting into Creative within Marketing, this role partners closely with Social Media, Brand Marketing, Content Strategy, Creative, and Customer Experience teams to bring campaigns and content strategies to life through motion. The Motion Graphics Designer leverages emerging trends, audience insights, and platform best practices to create content that resonates across evolving digital environments.

Day to day, you'll...

• Create motion graphics, animation, and video content for organic social media and owned digital channels
• Develop engaging visual storytelling that supports brand awareness, audience engagement, and customer education objectives
• Partner with social media, content, and creative teams to bring marketing campaigns and initiatives to life through motion
• Design motion assets for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging channels
• Translate brand messaging, campaign objectives, and creative concepts into compelling motion experiences
• Ensure all creative assets align with brand standards and platform-specific best practices
• Contribute ideas and concepts that capitalize on cultural trends, platform innovations, and audience behaviors
• Collaborate with designers, writers, videographers, and marketing stakeholders throughout the creative process
• Maintain high-quality production standards while managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Stay current on social-first content trends, animation techniques, and digital storytelling innovations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Animation, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in motion graphics, animation, digital content creation, or related disciplines
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design, video editing, animation, and visual storytelling capabilities across social and digital channels
• Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing channels
• Strong understanding of platform-specific content best practices and audience engagement trends
• Proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud, and related motion design tools
• Strong understanding of typography, composition, visual hierarchy, and design principles
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced creative environment
• Experience working within established brand guidelines preferred

Pay Range Information

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range

$62,800.00 - $94,200.00/Yr.
