Job summary

PBC Linear, a global leader in linear technology, seeks an Motion Control Automation Engineer to design, size, tune, and troubleshoot linear motion systems. You will select motors, drives, sensors, and safety devices, and wire control panels while reading schematics.

The role requires hands-on mechatronics knowledge and PLC programming as you support customer applications. You will collaborate with sales and engineering to tailor PBC Linear products to customer needs, and contribute to new

Qualifications

Hands-on knowledge of servo and stepper motor dynamics, PLCs, controls, and drive systems.
Familiarity with linear motion technologies such as actuators, profile rail, ball screws, lead screws, and linear bearings (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics).
Ability to read electrical control panel schematics and interpret layouts.

Responsibilities

Provide product and application support for linear motion systems and actuators.
Design, select components, and troubleshoot motion control solutions.
Size and choose motors and drives using load calculations.
Tune servo- and stepper-driven systems for performance and stability.
