Motion is seeking an Engineer III to perform engineering calculations, investigations, and support on defined problems. You will mentor junior engineers and prepare reports, graphs, and layouts to communicate project progress.
The role involves collaboration across teams to design components and systems meeting customer specifications. You will use CAD tools, 2D/3D drawings, schematics, and load calculations to solve technical challenges, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Under limited supervision, the Engineer III performs engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned. The Engineer III collaborates with other employees to provide follow‑up and engineering assistance on defined problems. The Engineer III assists in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results. The Engineer III may act as a mentor to lower level Engineers.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.
May require travel and specific safety training to work in dangerous and extreme environment conditions while collecting data or commissioning new systems at the customer’s location.
