Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Application Engineer to lead design and engineering of electronic controls solutions for the outside sales team. You will develop system specifications, organize design concepts, and prepare proposals to support sales efforts.

The role involves traveling up to 40% and requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 0–2 years of related experience, plus strong CAD and MS Office skills. Collaboration with partners and customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 0–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Understand and convey customer requirements internally and to factory partners.
• Train customers and outside sales teams on product technologies.
• Provide technical support to outside sales team and customers in real time.
• Maintain expertise on the technical products from factory partners.
• Prepare a scope of work for customer solutions.
• Size and design solutions for pneumatic, motion control, six-axis robots and vision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
