Job summary

Ascension (Saint Thomas Midtown) in Nashville, TN is seeking a Mother/Baby RN to implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate disciplines, and ensure orders are carried out. The role requires active RN licensure in Tennessee and relevant certifications. The position is PRN with night shifts in a high‑demand unit.

You will collaborate with physicians and nurses, assess discharge needs, and contribute to a well‑coordinated patient experience within Ascension's care framework.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or eligible for licensure.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) required or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Certification in The STABLE Program required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
